My name is Dawson Woods and I am currently a Junior at Corsicana High School. As a student, I am a hard worker and currently I am included in the top 10% of my class. I put forth a lot of effort academically and I am aware of the importance of staying focused and maintaining my grades. I have set goals for my future and I believe through hard work and determination, with the assistance of my strong support system, that I can achieve any goal or dream that I set. I have been heavily involved with sports my entire life and since starting high school I have been focused on baseball, finding that this is the sport I have the most passion for. I have been a part of the varsity baseball team for my high school since my freshman year and with hard work in and outside of school to improve my speed, skills, and all-around sportsmanship I had the privilege of becoming starting catcher during my sophomore year. During my sophomore year, my team and I were able to attain regional quarter finalists and my individual honors included 1st Team All-District Academic Honors, 1st Team All-Golden Circle Catcher, and 1st Team All-district Catcher. My future goals are to attend a reputable college and work towards getting a degree in Sports Medicine, which I believe aligns well with my passion for baseball. I hope to honor my team, my school, my family, and myself by being an example of a hard-working student and athlete.
