Personal Statement
Just to tell you a little bit about myself, I am a well-rounded utility player, including the positions of pitcher and catcher, with other emphasis on outfield and middle-infield. I consider myself to be an asset for my teams, and strive to be a leader on and off the field in work ethic; discipline; sportsmanship; and respect for the game, other players and coaches. I do feel I excel at the mental game of baseball and display a good attitude always. Because of my love of the game and passion for playing, my goal is to continue my baseball career throughout college and ultimately into the MLB. I plan to pursue a degree in a field that will carry me forward in life beyond my baseball career.
I am a Sophomore in high school, where I am an academically above-average student enrolled in mainly Pre-AP classes. My current GPA is a 3.8. I am a member of the drumline in the award-winning Canton High School marching band. I also participated in Freshman football and JV track this past year. I am active in my church high school youth group as well. Over the summer, I completed my first season as an umpire for our local baseball league and love the experience of interacting with the younger youth of our sport.
