Hello , i am Brody McNett and I am a freshman at andrews high school. I am hard working and self motivated. My parents are very strict and supportive in anything that i do. They have always make sure I am putting in the work i need to be successful especially in baseball. I have always loved baseball more than any other sport that i've played. I have played baseball ever since i was old enough to sign up, Ive played travel ball since i was 7. I have always just had a love for the game. From playing the game i have learned i am a leader and deal with pressure better than others. I have also learned that i push myself just as well as i push others to succeed. I am a hard worker, I do things right, i will not quit until i get the job done , and i have learned that grades come first when it comes to sports. I am a good student in the classroom, i work hard to get my work done and done correctly, i am in pre ap classes and by the time i graduate high school my goal is to be top 10 in my class, and in college i want to have an above average GPA. Being average is not ok with me, i like to set my standards high in both the classroom and on the diamond. I believe that if i set my standards high it will require me to work harder to achieve my goals. There has been hard times in my life where i had to power through and play. I used to be sorta chubby and this past summer i've worked harder and put in more work then i ever have, i was up early and in the gym every day, then i would hit, throw, catch and put in practice, at nights i would run and i worked my butt off all summer long 7 days a week and i lost weight and gained muscle, now i am slimmer and fit. I had to put into my mind that pain is just a mindset , weakness is a mindset, it was all mental, i had to put the pain and tiredness behind me and move on. I had to realize that there is no excuse for someone to work harder than me. I am a smart player on the field, i like to lead my team, i will work harder than anyone else on the field. One of my skills is to know my pitchers and pitch calling. I hit base hits and extra base hits rather than a home run hitter. I am also very competitive, i don't play baseball because i want to be a great player , yes i want to be a great player and will strive to be the greatest i can be , but the reason i play baseball is because i love the game, i love to watch it and play it, it is a passion, it is the greatest game in history. Therefor i hope i can impact your team in a positive way. I would be a great fit for your roster.
