Peter Adams '21 Recruiting Profile

Dear Coach,

Although I am only fourteen years old at the time of this writing, I have my life plan in place. I know that this may change as I mature and gain experience but my dedication to setting goals and working hard to conquer those goals will not. My heart is in sports and baseball has always been my passion since my earliest memories. My parents have instilled the importance of a good education and I have used my love for sports to push me to do my very best in my schoolwork. I have been blessed to keep my grades at a respectable level and never take my schoolwork lightly. My performance in the classroom will open doors in colleges of my choice and, hopefully, allow me to continue to play sports at a higher level beyond high school. I am fully aware that there are different paths that my life may take and the core of that has to be what drives me. I am, first, driven by my faith in the Lord and the support from my family, coaches and teammates have helped me achieve so many amazing things. It is my ambition to be a leader on the field, in the classroom and in life. My competitive nature comes from both of my parents so I have a double dose. But I have learned that winning or helping others win means nothing if I have no humility. I thank God for my talent every day and pray for humility in the same prayer. I am just beginning in my life and have so many things that I want to accomplish, one at a time. That is how I set my goals. One small step at a time to achieve the larger goal. A coach once told me, among many things, that you eat an elephant one bite at a time. I do not know if I will ever eat an elephant but I do know that I have goals for my life at least that big.
