I've played baseball since I was four. The first time I stepped onto the field, I loved the game. I still do today. As a teammate, I tend to act as a leader and play with grit and focus every time I'm in the field. I don't believe in giving up and encourage my team to believe the same. Aside from baseball, I also play basketball and was sixth man on the JV roster my Freshman year.
In the classroom, I work hard and have a 5.09 GPA to show for my efforts. I have good time management and organization skills that help me balance sports and school. Outside of sports and school, I'm active in my church youth group and volunteer in various church activities.
My goal to play in college motivates me everyday. I was fortunate to have Jeff Young as my travel and hitting coach for years. Before his passing, he encouraged me to introduce myself to a D1 coach at a showcase tournament. I asked him why. His answer, "You may be 5'7, but you play like you're 6'4". I introduced myself to the coach and will continue to believe in myself like JY believed in me.

This is a school for third through eighth grade highly gifted students in Greenville County. Only 75 students are accepted into the program each year.
