As a twelve year-old athlete I went to California to compete in the Pony World Series, even though we didn't take home the championship, I became a better, more driven athlete from the experience. During my last year of middle School I was successful with throwing a no hitter for the first time in my career...giving up only one walk. I finished the season with a ERA of 0.79. While winning is the best feeling, not winning benefits me in several ways. It drives me to focus more and to work harder on improving my skills in every way I can. Through playing baseball, I learned that how I play is not only determined by how I do physically, but how I think mentally. ..the game is based on both my mental and physical capabilities. Academically, as a student, I will strive to maintain a high GPA and to be successful on any task I encounter. I will eliminate myself from any trouble and will focus on things that will help shape my future. From baseball I have learned many hard, yet valuable life lessons, that make me a better person on and off the field.
