Cameron Banjak '17 Recruiting Profile

Honestly, I've been in love with baseball for as long as I can remember. It started in my second year of T-ball, a coach from one of the older league teams called me and asked me to play a couple games because they had some kids out, and were not gonna have enough players. I think that's when I realized that baseball is the sport for me. Then when I got up to the majors in my little league which was for 10, 11, and 12 year olds, we won the championship three years in a row. Those three years are when I fell in love with winning. There's never been a better feeling for me and I still strive for that feeling. I am a three sport athlete and a 4 year starter in two of those sports. In football I am a 4 year starter playing almost every position at one point or another and now reaching the captain level coming in my final year. In baseball I became captain a year early as a junior. All these things remind me that my coaches and fellow athletes expect me to compete at a high level, lead, and find a way to win. That is what I plan to do for the rest of my career in baseball, lead, and find ways to win.
