I would like to continue my pitching career in college. My nature has always been extremely competitive and I strive to be a great teammate both on and off the field. Starting is my preference but I have also always thrived on the pressure of being a closer. My focus on the mound is to combine ball movement and change of speed with pinpoint location to frustrate the hitter. Increasing my Velocity has been my main focus the past year and I have improved, however, I'm confident with continued hard work I have much more in the tank. I want to face the best players the other team has and I want the ball in my hand when the game is on the line. My educational goal is to study Law.

Thompson's changeup may be the best we have seen in Pennsylvania since PBR began operations in June of 2012. It is thrown at fastball arm speed and has late, hard downward movement. Thompson is a strike thrower who lives down in the zone and on the corners. While his numbers don't jump off the page his ability to pitch does. Thompson will get college hitters out on a routine basis.
