Cole Blatt '16 Recruiting Profile

I am Cole Blatt and I am going to be a senior this year in ELCO High School. I am 5'11" and weigh around 150lbs. I began playing baseball when I was 5. It did not take long for this great sport to become my passion, so much so that I have played on 3 teams each year since I was 12. When I was 12, thanks to my growth plate, I had a problem with my elbow that is called Little Leaguer's Elbow. I worked hard to rehabilitate it over the offseason with physical therapy. My hard work and dedication to improving myself paid off as my elbow has been strong and sound ever since. This year I was a starting pitcher for my high school Varsity baseball team at my where I posted a 4-1 record. I was one of two players on my team to make second team all-star. This summer I am playing for Richland Legion Post 880 and my tournament team, the Central Penn Renegades. For the renegades this year we are attending some showcase tournaments in Virginia and Slippery Rock. When I go out on the field I try my hardest and give the fullest effort I possibly can. As a player I am not cocky or loud minded as I tend to keep to myself and focus on the task at hand. My goal is to play college baseball and make an impact on my team. I am an overall player who will do anything to make his team better, as I will put forth a full effort whether it be diving for the last out of the game or running out a pop-up instead of jogging. Academics are also very important to me. Along with playing baseball in college, I plan on majoring in field of business, perhaps in Marketing.
