I love baseball and I have played it all my life. I work every day to get better both on the field and in the classroom. I play every game like it's my last and leave everything on the field. I push myself to do better because I know that I always can. I play to win and always give 100% to help do so, losing is not an option for me. My dream is to play Division 1 Baseball and I work hard every day to make it happen. I am in a rigorous, 4 day a week workout program, with private pitching lessons, as well. Freshman year I was throwing 70 MPH, I worked as hard as I could in the gym and by my sophomore season, I was throwing 82 MPH with movement. I intend to be throwing at least 85 MPH by the spring of my junior year, and I am working on my secondary pitches and my command daily, because I know that is equally, if not more important than velocity. I am an International Baccalaureate (IB) student at the Downingtown STEM Academy in Downingtown, PA, and I play baseball for Downingtown East High School and American Legion baseball for the Lionville Hillcats. I was 2012 American Legion all-star, as well. I had a rough sophomore year, which brought my GPA down to only 3.2, but I am working very hard with my math teacher after school to pull that up. I am off to a great start in the IB and I am hoping to continue that throughout these next two years. Baseball is my life and the sky is NOT the limit when it comes to how hard I work. I work my hardest to be a leader, as well, and my goal is to some day be a leader on a college team. While I am not the hardest throwning pitcher in the world, I definitely work to be the hardest. I may be small, only 6'0, but I believe that size is not a measure of heart, and I want to have an impact on a college team some day.
I don't really have a preference in regards to where the college I go to is located; being half Canadian, I am very fond of the north, but I also like southern states, as well. I am willing to pitch whether its 30 degrees out or 100. I prefer rural or suburban environments, as I am not a huge fan of cities. I have no preferences of the size, either. 500 students or 35,000 students, either is fine for me. I would really like to get the whole college experience--have fun while still succeeding in the classroom and in baseball. I hope that the college I go to is a great place to visit, a place that you want to go back to some day. Preferably a school that is situated in a "college town."
Thank you very much for taking the time to look at my recruiting profile, I hope you have interest in me, and I hope I can make an impact on your team some day.
