Personal Statement
Playing baseball in college has always been my biggest aspiration. Baseball is not just a game to me; it is my life. With the understanding of how slim the chances are of me playing baseball professionally, I have discovered an outlet that I enjoy very much. This outlet is announcing. I do the play by play for a local youth football organization. My interests stretch from sports' broadcasting into sports' journalism. As a result, Broadcast Journalism is what I intend to major in. If all else were to fail, I would attend umpire school. I currently umpire for my area’s umpiring association. Umpiring has been an insightful, joyous, and comical experience. I’m excited for my sixth to start.
