I’ve loved playing baseball ever since I could walk. Over time, I've realized that baseball is more than just a casual sport. It is my passion - the driving force in my life - and I'm prepared to do whatever it takes to excel.
I realize that in order to play at a college level or higher, I need to put in a lot of work. I've been doing just that for over 9 years now.
I’m a leader on and off the field, setting an example for not only my teammates, but my friends. I have been told that I am a very 'coachable' player. I strive to show coaches that I want to learn what they have to offer, and become the best that I can be. On the field I believe that the greatest competition isn't those you are playing against but how you challenge yourself and constantly strive to surpass personal goals you set for yourself.
In the classroom, I’m always asking questions to make sure that I understand new concepts. I participate in discussions by engaging my teachers, actively answering questions and always completing my homework in an effort to increase my GPA. Outside of the classroom, I spend a lot of time with family, especially my two little brothers, and spend countless hours volunteering at Oakville Little League to give back to the organization that helped foster my love of the game.
Ideally, I’m looking for a college program with small to mid-classroom sizes where I’m not just a face in the crowd - a place where I can receive personal help or engage in one-on-one discussions with teachers and professors while still having a highly competitive athletic program. However, the size of the college is not the most important factor. My primary goal is to find the right college that offers the right education/athletic mix in order to provide a proper education and career path for my future. I believe that the student in student athlete should always come first.
