Layne Rutherford '21 Recruiting Profile

I have played baseball since I was 4. I am originally from St. Louis Mo. home of the St. Louis Cardinals so of course the love of baseball is in my blood. My mom was also born and raised there and is the main reason I started playing. I respect and love the sport of baseball and have worked and will continue to work as hard as I can to be the best that I can be for not only myself to learn and improve but to be part a a team that has the same values. I believe that attitude is one of the top qualities that coaches, and managers pay very close attention to. When I'm not on the field with the team for practices or game days I am in the cages and on the field as much as possible. My goal after graduation is to play college baseball and ultimately go as far as God allows. I have the desire, dedication, determination, discipline, and abilities to do all I can to make that dream to a reality.
