My goals for college are to obtain a four year degree with the opportunity of playing baseball at college level. For the past six years I have lived in the UK where I worked very hard to reach my goals of playing for Great Britain at age 12. Baseball in the UK is only played at a club level. I knew I would be returning to finish high school in the US and it would take a lot of work to play at a high level here. In the UK, I did a lot of training on my own as there were not the facilities there and was and am willing to make the sacrifices to succeed firstly in school and secondly in baseball. I was recognised for my positive attitude and contributions at school as well as sporting achievements. I was also recognised in the community for my baseball achievements by being awarded a local district award for baseball as well as a county award for playing international baseball. 
I recognise the sacrifices my family make to allow me to play baseball both at a local and international level and am very humbled to be selected each time. I understand that academics are my priority as the decisions and work I put in now through high school and then in college, will impact my adult life.
