Personal Statement

Ever since I made a diving catch in tee ball, I knew I wanted to play college baseball. I have worked towards this goal my whole life, and I am working harder than ever now.

I believe my leadership, and my passion for the sport is what sets me apart from other athletes. I want the best for my teammates, and myself. And I will do what is necessary to get the best results. Baseball has given me the best memories of my life, and I want to continue those at a college level.

I will be one of the hardest working players on the team, because there is always room for improvement. I am also very coachable. I love getting new coaching tips to help me better my game.

In the classroom I am enrolled in courses for the Honors Diploma, taking the most challenging classes I can take at my school. I have maintained a 3.5 GPA. I am active in National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Key Club, Student Council, Float and Prom Committees, Educational Talent Search (E.T.S), and my local youth group. I also give back to my community by being a member of the fire department, participating in church, and I recently went on a 10 day mission trip to Honduras.

I want to find a college that is the right fit for me on the field and in the classroom. I want to make my parents proud, but also my school and community. Being small, not many kids go on to play sports, so I want to graduate being one of the few.
