I have grown up playing and watching baseball and hockey. I’m driven to play at the highest level. I imagine, most student athletes dream of playing in college and even the pros. I've watched videos and documentaries on some of the greats in both sports. They hoped and wondered what could happen in their future. They worked very hard and were grateful for what they had achieved. They earned the greatness they received.
I realized that I wanted to play sports at a young age. I wanted to be active and see what could happen if I worked hard. I've learned that I need to put that extra work in, not just during practice but before and/or after practice. I also try to be a team leader whether leading by example or to inspire others and motivate them. But to be a stand-out student athlete, means to also work hard and put in the extra effort in class!
