Brantley Curnutte '15 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Brant Curnutte and I am 15 years old and a Sophomore in High School. I have wanted to play college baseball since I was very little. I have played travel baseball for 7 years now and I really enjoy it. I always try and perform to the best of my abilities. I have always loved baseball because my dad and his whole family played the sport.  I have grown up around this sport and it became my favorite sport by far.  One of my goals is to not only play baseball in college, but also to get a good education.  

My main position is pitcher, but I can play other positions as well.  I can also play First Base, Catcher, and Right/ Left field. My favorite and best pitch is my fastball. I also throw a slurve that breaks about 4 inches. My strengths include being an effective contact hitter and having a strong arm.  My main weakness is my speed, but I am working to improve that everyday.  I workout 5 x's a week and constantly work to improve my weaknesses and to improve my strengths.

To tell you a little more about my personality, I am outgoing and love to have a good laugh.  I also strive to be the best person off the field that I can be.  One of my mottos that I learned from my dad is, " Practice your hardest when no one is watching, because you never know who might be watching."    When I am practicing/working out I always go my hardest because of this quote.
