Personal Statement

My name is Logan Swartzentruber and I am a left-handed pitcher for Dalton High School in Dalton, Ohio. For as long as I can remember I have dreamt of playing college baseball. I have taken many extra steps to make this dream a reality. I train year round with an athletic trainer at 4.40 Performance, and have taken private pitching lessons for the last five years. So far in my high school baseball career I am 18-4 with a 1.83 ERA and threw a no-hitter in my first varsity start. In addition to my athletic commitment, I work very hard to maintain my 4.0 GPA and top rank academically in my class. I am taking 11 college credit hours as a junior to help better prepare myself for college. I am also very committed to my church youth group and enjoy being involved with other school groups such as the marching band, varsity golf team, and the drama department. I am a team player who has fun playing the game I love so much.
