My name is Christian Kroger (my teammates and friends call me "CK") and I will be a senior at Bishop Watterson High School in Columbus, Ohio. This past spring I helped lead the Watterson Eagles to a State Final Four appearance by catching 30 out of our 33 games. Sadly, we lost 2-0 in the State Semifinal. I finished the season hitting .355 with 24 RBIs and 30 runs scored. I lead the team with 6 triples and had 6 doubles, was the only player to play in all 33 of our games. I earned 1st Team All Conference, 2nd Team All District, 2nd Team All Ohio, and Special Mention All Metro.
I have also been named one of the two captains of the 2016 Eagles Varsity team. I am highly motivated to play at the next level, I am a leader on and off the field. My coaches say I am a "Gamer" and that means to me that I enjoy the game, the competition, and being part of a team.
I have a strong desire to play baseball in college and I hope to do so for a school that will challenge me in the classroom, as well as on the baseball field. I am just as successful in the classroom as I am on the baseball diamond. I maintain a 3.8 GPA, National Honor Society, and scored a 26 on my first ACT. I plan on taking the ACT again this fall. I am open to all opportunities. As I continue to develop and get stronger, my main goals are to improve on those key times and stats. I would consider myself a gap hitter, my primary position is catcher, I have spent time playing infield and most recently outfield. I just want to help a team compete and win.
