Brendan McKnight '11 Recruiting Profile

My name is Brendan McKnight. I am currently a junior at St. John the Baptist High School in West Islip, New York. I am 6 feet tall and weigh 178 lbs. I am a pitcher and an outfielder. I have been a two year starter on our JV team. We made it to the championship series two years in a row. I was the starting pitcher in 2 of the 3 games we played in the championship series that we won. I also play for the Long Island Titans Organization, a highly respected amateur baseball organization in the state of New York. I have been a two year starter with them as well. My record for this past season was 12 wins and 3 losses in 18 games pitched. I am a team player. My team means everything to me. We win together and we lose together. I am always willing to help where ever needed. I have been told that I have one of the loudest voices on the team. I give my all each and everyday. I'm a hard worker and I am very coachable. I would like to attend a school in the south eastern region of the country. I feel that the level of competition is extremely high in the southeast. I am looking at all different types of schools at this time. I haven't decided on one as of yet. I would like to major in Sports Management or Business Management. My goals are to obtain a degree while playing baseball at a competitive college where I contribute to the success of their team.
