Rohit "Roy" Krishnan '17 Recruiting Profile

    I've always believed in going to a college where I could spend the next four years if I was not an athlete hypothetically. However, there is nothing more important to me than my grades and my team,  I always keep in mind I am a student - athlete and not an athlete-student. At the end of my four years, at whatever institution I attend, I want to have garnered the tools to advance myself socially and economically.  Morally, I have a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to play college baseball, that I am representing something much bigger than myself. It is an absolute honor to even be considered to play on a college baseball team, and it only takes one ill fated mistake to desecrate an outstanding reputation of both a college and an individual. I have always known that when I step on a field I represent a prestigious institution and its students with the name on the front of my jersey, as well as representing my family in its entirety with the name on the back. On the field, winning and learning are both my top priorities. I believe both can be done simultaneously and I will devote myself to both causes at all and any costs. Whatever role or duty I have to suffice in order for our team to be successful will stand well with me.  One cannot play college baseball without hard work, as it goes without saying, and physically I promise you no one wants to succeed more than me. Whatever it takes in the weight room, whatever it takes nutritionally, no matter the obstacle, I will get myself in a position to succeed. In the classroom, I carry the same mentality, I do not settle for mediocrity evidenced as one of my physical aspirations for college is to be on the honor roll. I live through a Labor Omnia Vincit mentality and always will. When given an opportunity, in all walks of life, I see it as my duty to make full use of it.
