Dillon Boyack '16 Recruiting Profile

One day while watching the film Moneyball, I heard the quote; "We're all told at some point in time that we can no longer play the children's game, we just don't... don't know when that's gonna be. Some of us are told at eighteen, some of us are told at forty, but we're all told". I thought that this is relatable to anyone who has ever played baseball. With this in mind, I plan on playing baseball for as long as I can, as hard as I can, until someone tells me I can not. I have been playing competitive baseball for eight years through a travel program, and just recently left and went to an elite system of tournaments and games that challenge myself to become prepared for the next level. Although longevity in my baseball career is an exceptionally important priority, I believe that academics should be at the top of that list. I hope to find a school where academics and athletics go hand in hand. My objective academically, is to pursue a degree in biology, in depth, genetics or biotechnology.
