I love baseball and want to play in college while obtaining an Engineering degree.
While in 8th Grade, 2017, I played in several 3A HS Varsity games at SS and 2nd. As Tucumcari is a small 3A level town, 8th graders can play varsity sports if good enough. Prior to the HS baseball spring season I attended a Prospect Camp at UNM Lobos. Coach Ray Birmingham recommended to my dad to get me into compitative club ball. The nearest Club Teams were in Amarillo 110 miles away. Putting my name on a Free Agent listing, I was contacted and evaluated by the Amarillo Rambage U14 USSSA Major team. They liked my attitude and potential and added me to the roster. During Spring ball we played most of our games in tournaments in Dallas or Amarillo. To improve my skills I trained in Amarillo weekly, 110 miles from Tucumcari while also practicing with Rampage. Training was initially with Colt 45 Facility and then we added Robbie Wine (Padre Manager Eugine Or., 18 years college coach, and future Dbat facility in Amarillo). In the fall as many of the players went into Freshmen sports, those of us wanting to continue in baseball formed an U16 USSSA Team eXtreme AAA level team to play tournaments in Dallas area and Amarillo.
My committment to my teams is reflected in that I did not miss one practice during the year, and continued individual training to improve my skills.
