Personal Statement

I have always had the dream to play college baseball. At a young age I set the bar high. In the younger stages of my baseball career I wanted to be just like Dustin Pedroia. It seemed as though no ball could get by him. He would scrap together hits, start rallies and keep the game going. I have always admired him as a baseball player. Dustin Pedroia loved every part of the game just as I do. I play with pride and respect every aspect of the game. I just finished my 2012 baseball season at Concord High School. In the beginning of my sophomore season I was put on JV. My goal was to make varsity that year so I continued to train on and off the field and played my heart out. I played shortstop and batted .500 through 9 games. At mid - season the head coach from varsity pulled me aside and asked if I could join his roster and play third base. In five games I had 10 assists and zero errors. Every day that I stepped between those lines I knew I was getting closer and closer to my dream. It all starts with me. I tell myself this before every game. We finished the regular season 15-4. We were first place in division 1 and continued to win the NHIAA Div. 1 championship for 2012. I batted .500 in the playoffs with 10 assists and finished my first year on varsity with zero errors. My dream is to play baseball in college. This is the game I love most. It is my passion. Ever since I was a kid I got addicted to the game and how it was played. No matter where baseball takes me or what position I play I will always love it and play my hardest. This attitude and drive will follow me at the college level.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
