From the time, I could throw a ball, and as long as I can remember I’ve been passionate about baseball, Eric Price (my dad) has influenced me the most. He was the one who taught me how to throw and catch a baseball. When I was younger, we would be out in the backyard playing catch, or hitting off the tee with a wiffle ball bat. He introduced me to the game of baseball, and I fell in love with it that the moment. I would say the time I became the most interested in the sport was when I hit my first home run. I knew then I wanted to play baseball at the next level. I have learned that I am very dedicated to this game, and would love nothing more than to play at the college level. I made the All American team in June 2017, I hit my first high school home run at the age of 14, and also had two nominations for the MO/KAN all state showcase this summer. This honor came from opposing coaches which made it even more exciting.
Education has always been the number one priority in my family. My academic goals is to graduate from Mt. Vernon High School, with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. I also want to Score a 25 or higher on my ACT test, then go to college and earn my degree in sports training. I have had to learn how to control my emotions when I step on the field. I would get mad at myself and that would cause me to performer poorly. I have learned to accept my mistakes and learn from them. I would say that my best characteristic is that I am humble and I am also caring towards others. I respect my coaches and fellow teammates.
