Miles Thomas '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Miles Thomas and I am a senior at Clinton High School in Clinton, Mississippi. I am a left handed pitcher who is mainly a middle relief, set up, or closer. If i could say one thing to a college coach to describe me I would say, " I might not be the hardest throwing leftie that you are looking at but I feel that I am the smartest. I have known for a long time now that I can't just blow it by people anymore, so I simply out-think them." My overall dream in baseball is to use it to get me through college so I can get my degree and become a Genetic Engineer. If I am lucky enough to play professional baseball that would be great but getting my degree is most important to me. I like to be very independent, I follow a strict workout, throwing program, and diet to make sure that I will play at the best of my ability at all times. Working hard is something that I have always loved to do. Hard work and dedication are two ideals that have been ingrained into me by my parents, coaches, and pitching coaches since I was little. College baseball is something that all baseball players want to be apart of, and only a select few get the chance to experience it. I hope that I am one of the lucky few who get to be a part of a college baseball program and that program leaves an everlasting impression on me and helps me get my degree.
