Personal Statement
Playing baseball has always been a major part of my family. From my dad and cousins, I have seen first hand that hard work and dedication make baseball more than just a sport, but a passion. I have always loved playing baseball. It is my dream to take my game to the next level and play on a college team.
Living rurally, I have not been able to play on a travel club team, but this has not stopped me from working hard on my sport year round. I meet one on one with training coaches to enhance my batting, pitching and fielding skills. This extra training has paid off as I have consistently led every team I play for in batting and on-base percentage. This achievement is the main reason I was pulled up to play Varsity Baseball as an 8th grader. I am willing to play all positions and go where my coaches need me.
One day I hope to practice medicine. I feel that being part of a college baseball team would not only help me to enjoy my college experience but prepare me for the discipline needed to be a success in my field.
