For as long as I can remember, I have always loved to be outside, stay active and play sports. But from the time I joined my first baseball team when I was 7, I knew that baseball was the sport I wanted to continue to play for as long as I possibly could. I have learned and excelled in many positions on the field in the ten years that I have been playing baseball, including catcher, pitcher, outfielder, short stop, and second base. As a result of playing those different positions, I have developed a deep understanding of the strategy behind the game, and a love of the sport that continues to grow with each season that passes.
Each new team and new experience that I have had with baseball has not only made me a versatile, knowledgeable baseball player, but it has also helped develop the skills I know will lend to my success both in college, and in my life beyond my college years. The discipline, drive for success, and positive attitude that I bring to baseball has also enhanced my life outside of athletics. I am a scholar athlete, a member of the National Honors Society, a member of the Natural Resources Commission Youth Conservation Council and an active volunteer in my church community. I spend my free time outside as much as possible, not only playing baseball, but hunting, fishing, and camping as well. And while I would love to play baseball for as long as possible, my ultimate goal is to take my love of the outdoors and make that my career as a conservation officer. I feel that my experiences and the skills I have both academically and athletically provide me with the tools I need to play baseball and succeed at the college level. I am interested in finding a school that will benefit from the contributions I can make both on the field and off, while also allowing me to continue to grow as both a baseball player and as a person.
