McKinley (Mack) Gowing '14 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is McKinley (Mack) Gowing and I live in Goddard, KS. I am 18 years old and graduated from Bishop Carroll High School in Wichita, KS (2014). I currently am 5’10” tall, weigh 185 pounds and run a 6.88 second sixty yard dash. Baseball is my passion and I want to continue my playing career in college. I play the outfield. I lead my summer team with stolen bases and on base percentage. I can hit for power or lay down bunts for small ball.

My high school team won the 2012 5A KSHSAA State Championship, was the 2013 5A KSHSAA State Runner-Ups my Junior season, and took third in the 2014 5A KSHSAA State my senior year. I was an All Metro Selection for the Greater Wichita, KS area my Junior year and 1st team all state as an outfielder my senior year .

I play for the Wichita Sluggers Academy in the summer and my personal profile can be found under Sluggers 18U Blue at http://wichitasluggers.com. My summer team showcases all across the Midwest playing in 18U tournaments. We challenge every weekend to play on Sundays for the championship.

I would like to play and compete at the highest level of competition in college. My work ethic allows me to compete on the field or in the classroom. I want to use my baseball skills to help me with college and to earn myself a degree.
