Wyatt Akins '17 Recruiting Profile

  My Baseball team has not been the most successful throughout my high school career. This has given me a lot of motivation to work hard to become a collegiate baseball player.  Being unsuccessful during baseball has also helped me become a better leader, because it is so easy to just give up and stop working toward your goals. It has helped me become mentally stronger which helps me during the games to learn from my failures and move on. 

  My number one collegiate goal is to get my degree.  School has always been my number one priority. My second goal is to play on a collegiate baseball team. I am a good candidate for your team because I always work hard, I am a team player, I don't put other teammates down. I am different from other recruits because I put my teammates before me, I make smart decisions on and off the field.  As an athlete I do what I am asked and I do more than what I am asked. Academically I put my work before sports, I work hard to get good grades and I enroll in courses that will challenge me.
