Recruiting Update: Bryant has particiapted in an Area Code Games tryout.
My name is Bryant Klusener and I play at Butler Community College and I attended Andover High School. I graduated in May of 2014 and am currently a sophomore at Butler Community College in Eldorado, KS. I am 6' and weigh 200 lbs. I ran a 6.70 second 60 at the Area Code/New Balance Tryouts in Claremore, OK. I started in every game on the varsity baseball team as a freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior years playing shortstop, third base, center field and pitching. I hit in the lead off through the four hole in all of my high school seasons. My Senior year in high school was my best. I was named 5A All-State Shortstop 2nd Team. I led my team to the 5A State Tournament, my batting average was .425, I led 5A in triples, and I was the first All State Shortstop from Andover High School. My sophomore year I was voted by the league coaches to 2nd Team All Conference Utility Player with Honorable Mention as pitcher and outfielder and as a junior I again received league honors.
I've been playing baseball since I was four years old. I was selected to participate in the combine tryout for the New Balance/ Area Code Games hosted by the Chicago White Sox in Claremore, Oklahoma at Roger's State University on June 18, 2013. Last summer I was selected as a shortstop to play in the Baseball Factory Under Armour National World Series which took place in Bradenton, Florida August 6-10, 2012. In 2010 I went to the Team USA 16U Midwest Regional NCIS tryouts and was one of 75 players out of 250 to make it to the final tryout in St. Louis, Missouri.
I am now in my Sophomore year in College at Butler Community College in Eldorado, Kansas. I was the only true freshman position player to start on the team almost every game. I have played shortstop, third base, second base, first base, left field and right field. My primary position this year is third base, but I also played many games at shortstop. I am currently hitting .349 and am on many of the statistic leader boards. I believe I can help a Division I team after my Junior College career is complete. I was selected to the Western Jayhawk Conference All-Conference team as a freshman at Utility Player.
I tell you this because I believe I can play at a high level in college and want to play baseball for a quality program that has good educational opportunities as well. I just need a chance and believe that I have proven my abilities again this summer. I am highly motivated and just want to play for a competitive program. Call my coach, BJ McVay at Butler Community College if you want more details on my abilities.
