I am a senior that is extremely competitive and a three sport athlete. Even though I play three sports my love is baseball. I am a lefty center fielder, I am also versatile in playing first base and can pitch as well. I have been playing travel baseball for the Rochelle Rampage since I was 10. I bat in the number 2 spot, have a good batting average, and excellent stolen base record. As a freshman I started, and played almost every inning in center field for the freshman and sophomore teams. When I did not play center, I pitched for both teams. I was called up to the varsity team for regionals, and pinch ran for all the starting pitchers. Last summer I completed a combine with Team Max Bat in Bloomington, Illinois. As a sophomore I played 1/2 of the season for the sophomore team and the other 1/2 for varsity. Junior year was cut short due to an accident that occurred early in the baseball season. I was however able to return to travel ball during the summer.
Other information you might want to know from other sports are: I started freshman football as a wingback, and linebacker. I also started on Sophomores as a wingback, and linebacker. I was a second string linebacker for varsity, and started on kickoff coverage team. As a sophomore I was starting wingback and outside linebacker for varsity along with special teams. As a junior I played both wingback and safety for varsity. For summer practice I am playing wingback and linebacker.
I also played basketball my freshman year, and again I played on all three teams; freshman, sophomore, and varsity. As a sophomore and junior I started on the varsity level and plan on continuing to be a varsity starter throughout my senior year.
My coaches say I am a dedicated, hard-working, team player with great ethics. Coaches also say I listen well and can be taught anything.
In the classroom, I am dedicated to my grades and have received high honor roll recognition which has also earned me the renaissance award.
It is my goal to play college baseball while receiving the best education possible.
