Calvin Peacock '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Calvin Peacock and I am a Sophomore at Southeastern Illinois College a division 1 juco who is a part of the GRAC athletic conference. I think the most intriguing thing about myself as a baseball player aside from my ability, is my experience, not just as a baseball player but as a whole athlete. I have been a three-sport athlete my whole life, I was raised by a father who coached football at the high school and college level for over 20 years and I have always thought of myself as a true coaches kid on and off the field. I have been around sports for as long as I can remember, and my goal is to stay around them as long as possible. I plan on continuing my career at the Junior college level to pursue an eventual division one scholarship, but I am also looking at some good division two programs as well. I think my competitiveness is what separates me from a lot of other athletes, throughout my career I have really gained that no losing mentality and like to set my personal goals very high. I don't know exactly everything I am looking for in a school but some of the most important things to me are going somewhere I can develop my skill level, gain velocity, and enjoy myself as a college student. I am confident I will get the opportunity to compete at the next level, and I know for sure whichever school I do end up choosing will be getting an athlete who is ready to work and is hungry to be successful.
