I will soon be starting my senior year at Morrison High School where I play baseball, golf, and basketball. I plan on playing college baseball at a university with strong academic and athletic traditions.
I have started in every one of my high school varsity games as both a sophomore and a junior at either 2B, SS, RF, or LF. I primarily play 2B, but I enjoy playing wherever coach needs me. I am a solid hitter leading my team in hits, runs, doubles and triples as a sophomore. As a junior, I hit particularly well throughout the entire postseason. Year-end awards have included the following: The Dispatch and Rock Island Argus All-Area Baseball All-Star, Trac-North All-Conference 1st Team - 2B, Trac-North All-Conference Player of the Year - Runner-Up, Sauk Valley Media Baseball All-Area Stats Leaders - Top Ten in ALL batting categories except HRs, and Sauk Valley Media Baseball All-Area Team - 2nd Team.
Our high school baseball team is very competitive, but because we live in a smaller, rural community, my family and I have made the commitment each summer for 9 years to travel outside our area to play baseball for some outstanding coaches. The past 2 summers we traveled to the Chicago area to play with the 29ers Baseball Club. I primarily play 2B, but I am considered a utility player who can play SS, 3B, and the outfield. This past summer I played on both the 17U and 16U teams. I also workout with these teams in the winter. My summer coaches, Todd Lawler, Brent Coyner, and Scott Lawler would be happy to talk with you about my skills, work ethic, sportsmanship and game experience. Their contact information is included on my profile.
I have a strong commitment to be successful in collegiate academics and athletics. I am interested in being a good student, working hard on the baseball field and in the weight room, developing good relationships with my teammates and coaches, being part of a collegiate baseball family, continuing to improve my game, and contributing to a winning program.
Thank you for your time!
