I’d like to tell you a little about myself and my character. I'm the first one to get to practice and the last to leave. I'm at every practice and every game. My love for sports started when I was about 5 playing for my first little league team in Springfield, Ohio. My family moved to Harrisburg when I was in 1st grade and I continued to play for both summer league and school teams. My dad coached me until I was in Middle School. In 7th grade our school team won the state tournament, something I will never forget. Since then I’ve been playing on our High School team and for American Legion Post 167. In my junior year I started center field and pitched. I’m also sort of a utility player and have played; 1st base, 2nd, third and other outfield positions. For me it doesn’t really matter the position I just love the game, contributing to the team, and being the best I can be. Also in my junior year I was on the varsity football, basketball and baseball teams at Harrisburg. I received the WEBQ Radio Player of the Year award which was a great honor.
Next year I will be graduating from Harrisburg High School. My dedication to sports is as equally important to me as my grades. Academically I’ve done pretty well over the last three years. My GPA is 3.96 and I’m currently 15 of 121 in my class; my transcript will update with my 2nd quarter GPA for Junior year when the new school year starts. I was also inducted into the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta National Mathematics Honor Society this year. My main academic focus is Math and Science hoping to study Engineering in college.
This summer I attended the SBT Combine in Plainfield representing Southern Illinois, where we won both games. I also played center field and pitched for Post 167 this summer. We just finished the 5th Division League Tournament where we came in 3rd overall. Everyday I strive to be a better teammate and player. I will work hard for you on and off the field no matter the circumstances.
