"Two sets of twins? And one in the middle!" I have heard these exclamations all of my life because I have a twin sister, a brother two years younger, and a twin brother and sister six years younger. Our unique family make-up has taught me to share, to compromise, to compete and to lead. My responsibilities in helping with my siblings, coupled with my active schedule, have taught me time management; while family and faith have helped me gain milestones and persevere through hardships.
I have been playing three sports since the age of five, but perhaps the reason baseball is my favorite also has to do with my family. My dad has worked in the front office for the St. Louis Cardinals his entire career and his occupation has given me a close-up view into the training, work ethic and determination that it takes to be the best. I am hardest on myself, and I believe that is the biggest hurdle I have learned to overcome. My coaches have all told me that I lead by example because I pride myself in trying my hardest both on and off the field. I would like to bring my spark and positive energy to a program that feels like family and a school that takes pride not only in its athletics, but also in its academics.
