Matthew Verdun '17 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing baseball since the moment that I could swing a bat. Since that day I have wanted nothing else than to create goals and do everything that I can to complete those goals. My main goal now is to play baseball at the collegiate level. I’m looking for the school that I’m not only interested in, but they are interested in me as well. I strive for greatness every pitch and also make sure that my teammates are doing the same.

 I am not the type of player that will hit 20 home runs a year, but I am the player that will do anything to help the team succeed.  As a kid that is not the biggest on the field, standing at 5’8” and 140lbs, I know that I cannot afford to take any plays off and that is why I bring the intensity that I do to each and every play. I have played plenty of teams around the country and have traveled all over since I was 9 years old and I know what I need to do to get myself out there and to stand out amongst the athletes that are much bigger than I am.
