Hello Coaches,
I believe that I'm an excellent candidate for any collegiate program, because of my ability to balance the scales of being a student athlete very well, which I deem necessary to be successful at the next level. I possess the unique trait to remain calm and level headed in stressful situations, which allows me to never be overwhelmed. I'm also, among many of my peers, considered to be a boring individual, or somewhat of a square, because I avoid partaking in a lot of the teenage activities that may be detrimental to my development. That's fine by me, because it allows me to focus on what's important to my future. So while they may sometimes laugh at me for being different, I laugh at them harder for all being the same.
My baseball skills will be an attribute for any program, as an excellent defensive outfielder that can play any of the 3 positions. I however am nowhere near the top of my potential, and I continue to work on improving my skill set, both offensive and defensively, as well as my speed. I take hitting lessons with one of, if not the top hitting coaches in the country, former major leaguer Mark Doran. I Also workout 3 times a week with my travel team at our indoor facility on fielding and hitting, and 3 times a week with my own personal trainer on core development, and speed training. All this while maintaining an A/B average in my academics. As A current Jr. this will mark my 2nd season starting on very talented team that plays in possibly the toughest baseball conference in the state of Illinois. So I keep a very busy schedule attempting to better myself, which will better my teams chances at achieving our 2016 and 2017 goals of winning a State Championship, which therefore leaves me no time for participating in unnecessary deterrents from my goals.
I plan on Majoring in Sports Therapy and Business Entrepreneurship, as I would like to eventually continue working in the sports field and open my own sports therapy business once my playing days come to an end. So I would love to hear any information you can provide about these fields as they relate to your institution.
Look forward to hearing from you in the near future and thanks for taking time from your busy schedule to read my profile.
