One of my main goals in life is to play baseball at the college level. I not only want to make a team, I want to be able to start. Baseball is my life, and I would do anything to play for as long I am able. I am extremely dedicated to baseball and I am always looking to improve my game. If I ever have a tough game at the plate, you can find me hitting off a tee in a cage afterwards. I strive for perfection. I am always working to perfect my craft, whether that craft may be hitting, pitching, fielding fly balls, or fielding ground balls. I work very hard in the classroom as well. No matter the subject, I always give my full effort, which usually results into good grades. I am very durable too. My attendance record in high school is perfect so far. From the beginning of kindergarten to the end of my Junior year, I have missed a total of four days. I am also a good teammate. I try to encourage my teammates. I will always show respect for them. I am always there for my teammates when they need support. I try my best to pick them up when they're down. My high level of energy sets an example for others to play the game with as much intensity as I play it with. To keep my game sharp, I try to play on as many teams as possible. First is high school baseball, then the three summer teams I play for; the first being the local Junior Legion team, the second being the Senior Legion team and the other being a team called the Sundawgs. Finally, I finish the year off by playing in a wooden bat league known as SIFL (Southern Illinois Fall League). I have started varsity both my sophomore and junior years and have shown I can play with top players from my region.
I believe I would be a great asset to your college team because of my love and dedication for the game of baseball. I believe I have what it takes to play at the next level. I will work extremely hard to get better every day. I will put in more than what I have to in order to be successful. Those are the main reasons why I a good candidate for a college team.
