Jacob Diaz '16 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing baseball since I was four years old. Ever since I was little I have aspired to play at the collegiate level. I know that playing college baseball is a once in a lifetime opportunity that can change my life.
I excel in all areas of the game. I have speed, arm strength, power and consistency in hitting and highly accurate fielding. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players and hardest working recruits you'll find.
In the classroom, I work and study hard to constantly improve my academics. I strive to become a better student by regularly attending tutoring sessions to stay one step ahead and seek additional help when needed. I also volunteer at homeless shelter and senior assisted living programs to give back to my community.
I want to attend a college where I can continue to push myself in the classroom and on the field. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers and continue to make my parents proud.
