Micah Layosa - Ba...Personal Statement
Aloha! My name is Micah Layosa, I was born and raised on the island of Kaua’i, Hawai'i. I will be a senior at Kaua‘i High School, on the island of Kaua'i in the State of Hawaii.
I have experience in every position on the field. Over the last three years, 3rd base has been my main position. I am honored to be a member of the 2015 Trosky Baseball NorCal 18U White Team; 2014 AZ Jr. Fall Classic All-AcademicTeam and 2014 Team Hawaii Jr. Arizona Fall Classic Team. I am also a member of the 808 Baseball Academy Travel Team. For the past three winter seasons, I have had the privilege to play on an AJA (American Japanese Association) Adult Baseball Team.
My goal is to be recruited to play baseball at a DI college and major in either Agriculture Business & Management, Business and or Tourism/Food Industry.
Outside of baseball, I enjoy fishing, diving, spear fishing, cooking, traveling and playing the ukulele and guitar (self- taught).
I am friendly, easy to get along with, caring, sincere and am fun to be around. I am also very serious about my baseball game and pride myself on my skills and experience. I am in excellent physical condition, built is stocky, smooth fielding, strong arm and a power hitter. I truly believe I will be an asset to whatever organization that recruits me.
