Wesley Hurty '12 Recruiting Profile

As a senior at Windsor High School in Connecticut, I am a B student taking primarily honors courses. I am a returning All Central Connecticut Conference player and one of the leaders on our baseball team under coach Joe Serfass, a former All-American at Eastern Connecticut State and pitcher in the New York Mets minor league system. I was brought up to varisty when I was a freshman and started several games. I started as a sophomore and distinguished myself as one of the better hitters on a team that advanced to the second round of the state playoffs. As a junior was one of our core players, hitting with more power in the cleanup spot as our team again qualified for the state playoffs with a record of 12-8.  I am a hands-on learner and colleges with strong cooperative education programs are of great interest to me. Specifically, I am looking to pursue a major in construction management or business/marketing.  My goal is to play and excel in competitive baseball at the college level while furthering my education and preparing for a career. I like to have fun too, so the enjoyment of being part of a winning team in a great social environment is attractive to me.
