Matthew O'Connor '21 Recruiting Profile

My goals for college are:

1. Graduate with a 4 year degree
2. Play Baseball at a high level
3. Play with Major League Potential

The difference between me and other recruits is I will go the extra mile and put in the extra effort to make my team and myself better. I am a team first player who give 110% on every play. I will give up my free time to get extra work in hitting and defensive skills even when I am not going through a slump or dry spout. In addition Academics will always come first for me at college, in my short time at Westhill High School I have achieved a 3.91 GPA in the first quarter and I hope to continue to get good grades throughout my High School Career. Another thing that makes me stick out among other recruits is I am in a Agriscience and Technology program at Westhill.  This is a program the centers a curiculum around teaching its students about Animals, Plants, and Farming Techniques.
