I am a 2018 upcoming graduate from Southington High School in Conn. I have been playing since I was 5 years old and will like to play at college level. I carry a 90.60 GPA. I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the field.
On an academic level, I strive to maintain above average grades. My high school courses have included honors and CCP courses.
What separates me from others is:
1) My commitment to play each game like it was my last one. Defensively - as a primary catcher : I treasure the "diamond" and look to see the entire field. Assuring 3 main objectives are in tack: a) reading the pulse of the game, b) help guide defensive plays , c) block frame pitches and call a game. My strong aim and quick feet allows me to handle duties behind the plate with ease . I am working daily on my physical growth through the duration of my high school years.
2) My respect. I approach each game as a new experience I will be learning from. No matter the outcome of a game - I maintain a "win / win " leadership aptitude to players/coaches. I am a catcher primarily - however, willingly play various positions to assist my team.
As a potential college prospect , I welcome a school that can match my academicals studies. On an athletic level - given the opportunity to be part of a college baseball program and roster, I will bring forth the values acquired from my game playing years. I am coachable, quick learner and determine person who strives both on and off the field and works hard be a valuable individual and team player.
