Jacob Nichols '17 Recruiting Profile

I am a hard working individual interested at succeeding - at all levels.  I do whatever it takes to achieve the best grades and to excel both on and off the field.  As a leader of the class of 2017, my most recent accomplishments include being the 8th grade selection for the Scholar/Leader Award and achieving High Honors in all consecutive marking periods throughout my freshman, sophomore, and junior years of high school.  This was achieved all while playing on the varsity basketball team, along with the varsity baseball team.  I have played 3 years of varsity baseball, and continue to play in the summer for Simsbury Senior Legion.  I am an accomplished baseball player and my success is sure to continue as I move forward in both my high school and college careers.

It is my goal to secure a position on a growing college baseball team, and take my skills to the highest level possible.  Knowing that a baseball career will not last a lifetime, although I wish it could, I will subsidize my baseball career with a strong academic foundation in either mathematics or engineering - likely chemical engineering.

What makes me different from most other recruits is my undying commitment to succeed at all levels - so far I have achieved that.  By working hard and focusing on my goals and aspirations, I am sure to succeed at all levels going forward.
