I am a self-driven, fiercely hard-working, honor student-athlete. I am passionate about developing my skills at the collegiate level, strengthening those around me, and earning a spot professionally.
Currently at 6' 1" and 195 lbs, I have an unsurpassable work ethic. I’ve been the starting Varsity Catcher and Co-Captain for my team since my sophomore year. This year, in my Senior year, I am our starting CF - so I am genuinely versatile. So far this year I have won player of the week for our league twice, and have had 4 home runs, with a BA .500. I can feel that things are really beginning to mesh for me this year. I've played baseball for as long as I can remember. Speed, strength, versatility, stamina, and leadership are among my greatest strengths. I run a 6.6, with a pop-time just under 2. I was First-Team All-League Catcher last year, earned the Coaches' Award, and was the recipient of the Pete Rose Award. I've played year-round for the past two years on two different traveling teams (CA Heat 18U and CA Mud Hens 18U). I’ve sought out participation in camps at major universities and with respected organizations to ensure exposure to high caliber baseball. It's my intention to play baseball at the collegiate level and beyond. My father was a professional athlete in the NFL for 10 years. He came from a small school and developed more fully in college-I suspect I will follow a similar developmental path. Professional athletics is in my blood. I'll pave my way with relentless hard work and determination. I'm a strong team leader; I tutor fellow teammates. I've competed for 2 consecutive years at the California State Science & Engineering Fair, was nominated to the World Leadership Forum in Washington DC, recipient of the Exemplary Community Service Award, and participate as the lead vocalist in Chamber Singers. I'm a Christian student-athlete, while being globally-minded and respectful of differences.
I hold down part-time employment and am currently earning a 3.9 GPA in AP curriculum. I will maintain my commitment to seeking out competitive opportunities outside the regular season. I'm interested in earning a collegiate roster position where I will have the opportunity to challenge myself and hone my skills, make meaningful contributions to my team, and earn a quality education earning a degree in Engineering. I will give my prospective college team 110%, developing into a stellar collegiate ballplayer that will strengthen my team and make you proud. I'll work relentlessly, emerging as your dark horse.
