My goal is to attend a D-1 University and be coached up to reach my maximum potential, whether it's on the mound, in the infield, outfield, or at bat. There is nothing like being a part of a "team" that plays hard, wins, and does both with class. My physical strength and athleticism for my size are real assets to my game. Beyond that, I'm also known as a good teammate and leader---and that means a lot to me. Here are a couple of notes sent to my dad from my Team USA National team coaches after we won the Gold Medal in Taiwan:
"You are raising an unbelievable young man and we knew the moment we met him that he was a team guy. He was always the first one to grab gear, give a teammate a high five and say thank you to each coach every day after each practice, meeting or game. He is going to make a high school and college coach very happy one day because he is an outstanding kid that completely understands that it is a team game. I'm in the process of identifying/selecting the top (40) power hitting 2021 graduates in the country and came across a brief write-up of you that peaked my interest. I visited your Perfect Game Bio and watched your short Skillshow videos to confirm. I was impressed with your developing overall (two-way) skill-set. Carson McKinney - 1B - 2021 - Temecula, CA - USA The 6-foot-4, 195-pound 2021 grad impressed while on the mound showing a loose three-quarters arm slot and created solid downhill angle through the zone topping at 80 miles per hour. McKinney also flashed very good depth with a 12/6 curveball that has promising swing and miss potential. I'd like to speak with you/your parents about participating in this years 12th Annual World POWER SHOWCASE that's being held again in Miami at Marlins Park on December 27th to the 31st OR the 3rd Annual National POWER SHOWCASE in Texas at the Rangers historic Ball Park in Arlington on November 10th to the 12th. - Dear Carson, Congratulations you have been invited to the inaugural Perfect Game Fall Top Prospect National Showcase! This is a strict invite only event for only players named to the top prospect team at a showcase or nationally ranked by Perfect Game All players will be given full scouting report and video added to their PG Profiles and be closely evaluated by our main scouts to potentially move up our national player ranking for their class. This event will also give standout performers from PG events from throughout the year the chance to compete against each other as you look to improve your draft stock or be seen by college coaches. We will also be evaluating players for invites to more future invite only showcases like our National Showcase and even the Perfect Game All American Classic.

Also maintained arm speed well with curveball and changeup offering, proved to be deceptive for hitters to pick up."
