2015 highlights a...Personal Statement
My name is Jamie Robertson and I am a member of the class of 2016 at Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California. My goal is to attend a school that will help me reach my potential, both academically and athletically.
I have always pushed myself by taking both Honors and AP courses in school. My strengths are math and science. I am very proud of the fact that I have been able to stay on Notre Dame's Honor Roll (Magna Cum Laude) while playing both football and baseball.
Athletically, I pitch and play first base for Notre Dame's varsity baseball team. We play in the Mission League, one of the best leagues in Southern California. During the Summer I play for RSA (Reggie Smith Athletics) and I've played in the USA National Team Championships, Arizona Classic Junior All Academic Game and was also invited to the Elite Baseball Series at UCLA. Being left handed, I have always had a lot of movement on my pitches, which include a fastball, change-up, cut fastball and curve ball. All of which I throw for strikes.
I am a smart player who gets outs both on the mound and at first base. I've been mentored by Reggie Smith, a 17 year major league player, and I'm a very coachable team player. I'd greatly appreciate a chance to help your team!
