My name is Ian White. I am 16 years old and I am 5' 11", 160 pounds. I go to Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, CA. where I am on the Varsity baseball team. I am a starting pitcher and also play outfield. I throw a four seam fastball, two seam fastball, change-up, and curve ball. My fastball tops out at 82-83 and sits at 80 mph. My change-up sits at 74-75 mph and my curveball sits at 65mph. When I pitch, I focus on locating my four seam to get ahead in counts and then I often bring in my off speed for the strike out. I am primarily a groundball pitcher and have the ability to induce that groundball for the double-play when the need arises. As a hitter, I understand the importance of situations and executing in those situations. In the high school off-season, I play with Garciaparra Baseball Group (GBG), I joined GBG in 2014 and most recently attended the Arizona Junior Fall Classic with GBG in Oct. 2016. I still have room to fill out in my figure and I am training hard to gain the strength I need to throw harder this upcoming season. I also put a lot of effort into my school work and value my education. I maintain a 4.0 gpa and hope to raise it next year by taking multiple AP and honors classes. I also have volunteered at a baseball camp during the summer and volunteer in events to help the community. My goal is to pitch at the D1 level and continue into the Major Leagues.
