Andrew Katz '10 Recruiting Profile

I'm Andrew Katz, class of 2010, and I have a passion for baseball, a love of hitting and a hunger to always play ball. In San Diego I have played baseball year-round on numerous travel teams since age 9, playing all positions (except pitcher). I have a love for catching, calling pitches and playing defensively. Although I am a self-driven and extremely competitive individual, my humble nature never allows my inner drive and competitiveness to overshadow my true morals, values, ethics, and respect for others. I've always been a dedicated gamer-type of teammate with a likable, outgoing personality and positive kind of attitude that allows me to bond easily with my teammates. Team chemistry and camaraderie are huge for me! While I am a people person, I always take the game seriously and am always striving to better my game. Being self-motivated and self-driven to practice is second nature. I seek a challenge on the field as well as in the classroom. I have a strong commitment to excel in advanced honors classes so that I can be a mentally, physically and intellectually balanced and fulfilled individual who is continuing to learn and evolve. My goal is to pursue a degree in communications, broadcasting, or sports management (while playing ball) and make a difference! Traveling is not an issue as I am open to all schools.
